Welcome

Welcome to Anti-linear blog

This is a blog that aims to exercise some out-of-the-box thinking for it's visitors.

Why "anti-linear"?
I have borrowed the term linear from mathematics in order to give another perspective to every-day thinking. Most of the times, most of us are in rush and have no time to broadly analyse reality. So what usually happens is that we tend to analyse a situation based on one single dimension, whatever is more apparent to us, or we feel more comfortable in dealing with. This is not bad, it is just human nature. So, going back to my mathematical analogy, this means that we perceive only one parameter of a situation, which means that there is a single-dimensional analysis, i.e. linear.

However out of the box thinking goes beyond having a single perspective, or examining a single dimension. It is by default a mutli-dimensional thought process, so as to have the depth and broadness that it requires to be called "out-of-the-box thinking". So simple but so hard to do. As humans we tend to mix sentiments with logic and that is where we may be missing something from our lives....

I hope that you enjoy my posts!
